Mexico City in 10 minutes

Life is great. I´ve spent the past 3 days exploring Mexico City and its surroundings, and I´m having a fantastic time.

My 22 lbs of belongings and I arrived on Sun night and cauht the metro in to the city center. I´ll gie you the full rundown of my love for Mexico City´s metro when I have more than 10 minutes of internet time left. Monday I walked everywhere. To put things in perspective the next day I went out to Teotihuacán where I walked a few miles and climbed a few pyramids with some stairs higher than my knee -- that paled in comparison to Monday. Turns out Monday is the day that every museum ever is closed, which I didn´t know until after I tried to visit several of them, but I got a prett great walking tour of a lot of the city. Visited the Cathedral, got lucky enough to stumble on a tour going up into the bell towers, wandered around the Zócalo, walked down a pedestrian street to the Palacio Bellas Artes (beautiful concert hall) and the Palacio Postal (beautiful post office), hopped the metro over to Bosque Chapultepec, trudged along some overpasses trying to find another entrance since the first was closed, found the second entrance and discovered that the entire park/forest is closed on Mondays, walked along Paseo de la Reforma (a big boulevard similar to the Champs Elysées), made my way down to Parque de México in the Condesa neighborhood, and, incredibly hungry at this point, found some dinner before catching the metro back to my hostel.

No time left so the rest of Mexico City will have to wait. Off to Oaxaca tomorrow and couldn´t be more excited!
