After one last day in Mexico City, spent wandering through shady neighborhoods, visiting museums, and eating delicious food, I caught a redeye to Buenos Aires via Lima (hopefully someday I´ll get to see more than just the airport in Peru...). By 7am I had made it into the city, checked into the hotel where I´l meet up with my parents tomorrow, and fallen asleep in a very cozy bed. And thus begins part 2 of this adventure. Pretty much the only similarities between parts 1 & 2 are the clothes in my bag and the language spoken (and even that has its diferences), and I´m looking forward to snagging my parents´ guidebook when they show up so I can actually learn about the places we´ll be going. In the meantime, I´d better do some internet sleuthing to find out if you tip in Argentina, if a large lunch/small dinner with a siesta in-between is typical here, and other such delightful cultural tidbits.

Hasta la próxima, México
I still can´t believe my time in Mexico is over, but the end of my trip was absolutely wonderful. I spent 3 days in Tulum, a little town on the coast, and spent pretty much every waking hour either biking to/from the beach, reading on the beach, swimming, or eating tropical fruit on the beach. It was really rough. For some reason my body decided that 5:30 am was a good time to start waking up, so I got to watch the sunrise from the beach each morning -- an incredible experience. I also made it out to Gran Cenote and got to snorkle through some neat cave formations. It was hard to say goodbye to my bicycle, wonderful hostel, and the secluded little beach with stereotypically perfect white sand and turquoise water.
