- It´s 30 pesos per ride. That´s less than 30 cents.
- The longest I ever waited for a train was 4 minutes, and that only happened once. During that 4 minutes 3 trains came in the other direction.
- It´s excellent people-watching.
- The busier stations have a section on the platform that´s reserved for women and children, and police officers are there to enforce it during busier times. Decry the sexism if you want, but there´s something to be said for not getting hit on by skeezy men when you´re crammed into a station with barely any room to breathe, let alone move away.
- To changes lines at the La Raza station you have a six minute walk. But instead of a boring, long slog, they´ve turned it into the "hall of science" and have photos of every plant, animal, and biome you can think of. The best part? A dark section with a black light and constellations all around.
- Did I mention it´s 30 pesos per ride?
